Talk Homework

Sunday, May 14, 2017

The last two Talk topics have created some interesting discussions, particularly when asking how much chocolate is enough.

This week’s task asks children to:

Choose a favourite character (can be an animal, person or cartoon-real or fictional) and discuss appearance and personality.

Summer Term 2017

Thursday, May 11, 2017

Our Reception and Nursery classes have had a fantastic start to their new topic ‘Princes and Paupers’. We enjoyed a Queen’s Tea Party at the start of term and ate scones and jam while sipping our beverages. Children were very polite and well-mannered after our talk about how to treat people with kindness and respect.

Our outside area has had many new updates also, with the children playing in dens and parking their vehicles at designated, numbered parking bays to help with their numeracy skills. The mud kitchen has also had a revamp and the children have been making mud pies a plenty.

Our smaller outside space has a new shop in it with children already selling many items. Ice-creams are a particular favourite and it is pleasing to see many of the children exercising their literacy and numeracy skills while serving behind the counter.
