Talk Topic 3

Sunday, September 24, 2017

Following on from Friday’s ‘Jeans for Genes day’, this week’s Talk topic states

‘Lots of people wear jeans. Why?’

We are asking the children to consider why this is. Have fun finding out why people you know do or do not like wearing jeans.

Last week’s Talk topic about gold fish and what they dream about resulted in some fascinating discussions.

This week, in line with Roald Dahl’s birthday, our Talk topic is:

“You have the chance to meet Willy Wonka. What new sweet would you design? What would it taste like, look like, do?”

Welcome to Year 2.

We had a fun filled first week back, learning about the scientists our Houses are named after on Wednesday afternoon, the artist Piet Modrian on Thursday and during Friday’s street style party we applied a range of skills learned last year in PE during our circus skills workshop.

We particularly loved dancing to https://www.gonoodle.com/ with Mrs Pinney in Year 5.

This week’s Talk Topic, which we are sure the children will thoroughly enjoy, is:

‘If the first three things you touched turned to gold, what would you touch and why?’

In line with our Princes and Paupers topic,  this week’s Talk Topic asks children

“If you could have something money can’t buy, what would you choose?”

We look forward to hearing all about their suggestions during the course of the week. Happy Talking!
