Summer Term.

Sunday, April 22, 2018
Welcome back!
It is hard to believe that only a week has passed, we have achieved so much already. Thank you so very much for all of the Easter egg boxes, we almost have enough for our D.T. project.
So far the weather has been lovely, long may  it continue! Please remember to send your children in with a named hat and water bottle daily and apply sun cream in the morning.
This term our topic is Under the Sean, upon the shore. Details of how we will be covering the National curriculum through this topic can be found in our Curriculum Pamphlet, here on the website.
We will start our Computing this term revisiting E-safety, please click on this link to find out ways you can help keep your child safe online.
I am really looking forward to our final term together and hope to continue building happy memories with your children.
Thank you for your continued support.

Talk Topic

Friday, January 19, 2018

This term’s value is Perseverance.

With this in mind, our Talk Topic for the next week asks children to consider and discuss:

‘What is the most difficult challenge you have faced or are facing and how did you/will you overcome it?

We look forward to hearing all about the challenges over the coming week.

Spring Term

Sunday, January 14, 2018

Welcome back to what is already proving to be a very busy Spring term.

Our topic this half term is Polar adventures, where we shall be comparing life in Antarctica to life in the UK.  We have watched an interesting video called ” Teachers in the freezer” about who ventured down to the Southern hemisphere and spent four weeks in Antarctica.

Our maths focus will be understanding, using and applying multiplication and division.

Your children have been using Espresso in class to support their learning and may enjoy sharing the educational games with you.

The curriculum pamphlet detailing all areas of the curriculum we will be covering this term will be out on Monday.

Please ensure children have wellies and a warm, waterproof coat in school each Thursday as we will be visiting the Environmental area, this term’s focus will be woodland habitat.

Talk Topic

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

This week’s Talk Topic is making the children think really hard. We have had some excellent thoughts so far.

“Look at some money and imagine it’s journey to your home.  Who else might have had it? What might it have been used to buy?

Children in Need.

Monday, November 27, 2017

The children had a very busy day last Wednesday baking cookies to sell on Friday for Children in Need.

They looked Spottytastic in their mufti clothes. Thank you for supporting such a worthy charity.
