Primary Update

The building work for our new classrooms will be taking place in early 2018. We are hoping that if everything goes smoothly Year 5 will able to move into one of the classrooms after the Easter holidays.

Primary School Project Group

On Thursday 8th December 2016 at the Primary Presentation evening we outlined the proposed strategy and development plan for our school, as we begin the transition to our new Primary status.

Following on from the December presentation, the link below summarises our goals and the strategies we plan to employ over the next 18 months and beyond in order to achieve our ambition of becoming the number one primary school of choice within the school community.

We welcome any additional feedback and would like to encourage parents to get involved in our journey to become a primary school.  If you are interested in being able to offer help with any aspect of the plan, please speak to Mrs Riach or any of our Governors.

School Uniform from September 2017

Our new pale blue PE top, royal blue knitted v-neck sweater and cardigan all with school logos have now been added to the School Trends website available to order on-line.   The PE T-shirt is available to purchase individually or as a PE kit comprising T-shirt, shorts and PE bag.  Parents are able to purchase all of the uniform without the school logo from stores on the high street.  However, we would like all children to have the new PE T-shirt with the school logo to ensure that St Lawrence pupils are more easily identifiable and exemplify St Lawrence when participating in external sporting competitions/fixtures.

School Trends have agreed to extend their deadline for orders for free delivery to school to 10th July 2017.   All orders placed by this date will be delivered to school during the summer break and will be available for parents to collect on Thursday 24th August or on either of the two training days on Monday 4th or Tuesday 5th September.  Orders can be delivered direct to your home address but there will be a delivery charge.

School ties for Years 3, 4 and 5 are now in stock and available to purchase from the school office at a cost of £4.20.  Bookbags are also available to purchase from the school office in the normal way, although the cost has increased slightly to £5.00.   There is no need to replace bookbags unnecessarily as the school logo has not changed.

With the exception of pale blue shirts for Years 3, 4 and 5 which are available to purchase from most supermarkets, Matalan, Next, Marks and Spencer and John Lewis and the addition of the tie, the remainder of the school uniform is unchanged, as follows:
