Report to Parents

Schools receive a payment, or Pupil Premium, for: each child who is currently in Care; registered as eligible for free school meals (FSM); registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years (Ever 6) and children having a parent or parents who is/are serving in regular HM Forces military units of a; forces; or in the armed forces of another nation and stationed in England.

Objectives for PPG Expenditure 2016-17

  • Raise the school attainment of disadvantaged pupils
  • Continue to embed AFA practice as an integral part of whole school practice
  • The Inclusion Team and provide holistic approach to meeting pupils’ needs
  • To engage further parental engagement
  • To support pupils’ academic progress through small group work and targeted interventions
  • To support pupils’ social and emotional development through individual and group work
  • To provide one to one support/ tuition where applicable
  • Reduce the attainment gap between the school’s pupil premium and others nationally.

Nature of Support 2016-17

  • Teaching Assistant Support in classes
  • Inclusion Support across the school addressing pupils’ needs through various learning approaches
  • Ten week intervention programme – Year 1 – led by teacher linked to research
  • Targeted parental engagement
  • Community involvement
  • Small group and individual support and interventions
  • Small/individual enrichment- Extra curricular
  • To provide one to one support/ tuition where applicable
  • Subsidised participation in enrichment activities, school trips and Fun4Us
  • Support and Training for Teaching Assistants, Teachers and Governors-
  • Whole school enrichment events- linked to Creative Curriculum
