Update
Today we experienced the first warm sunny day this spring term.
We made horrible trolls and billy goats to go with our bridge!
This week we made lots of props to help us retell the story of the Billy Goats Gruff.
We used the tacks and small hammers to tap our shapes into position.
We looked carefully at our flowering amaryllis plant and thought about the colours we would need to paint them.
The children are making good use of our House of the Bears role play house outside.
As we continue our topic of Traditional Tales, this week we are exploring the story of the Billy Goats Gruff! We will be building bridges inside and out and making some horrible trolls!
The Three Little Pigs Amaryllis has reached has reached 48cm tall and now has four flowers and one bud.
Today we tried some porridge, just like Goldilocks and the Three Bears!
We are enjoying telling and re-telling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Today we made our own jam sandwiches.
The playhouse in the Nursery Garden has become the House of the Three Bears to support our topic of Traditional tales. The children have had a lovely time creating Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear, Baby Bear and Goldilocks. Would you like to take a look inside?
